Kasia Derén, first finalist of the Polish selection Szansa na sukces

Although recorded on January 19, the first semifinal of the Polish preselection for the Rotterdam 2020, Szansa na Sukces, has been broadcast this afternoon, unveiling its first finalist: Kasia Derén. The singer has participated as a backing vocal of Polish representatives in Eurovision Song Contest 2018, Gromee & Lukas Meijer.

A jury, composed of Cleo (Poland 2014), Michal Szpak (Poland 2016) and Gromee (Poland 2018) have chosen the winner in this show, dedicated to the ABBA group, with all the participants performing famous songs of the well-known Swedish group:

• Emilia Sanecka (Leader of the group “Daj to glosniej")
• Patryk Skoczynski (“The Voice of Poland”)
• Amelia Andryszczyk (“The Voice Kids”, Polish selection for Eurovision Junior 2016)
• Maja Hyzy (“The Voice of Poland”, Polish selection for Eurovision 2018)
• Kasia Derén (The Voice of Poland, Polish backing vocal in Eurovision 2018)
• Julia and Wictoria Szlachta (“The Voice of Poland”)
• Sargis Davtyan (“Debiuty Opole 2019”)

Poland has decided to use this talent show to select its candidate for Rotterdam. Before was used to choose its representative at the Eurovision Junior Festival with very good results.
